    Transportation Engineering and Safety Conference
    December 6–8, 2017 • The Penn Stater Hotel and Conference Center, State College, Pennsylvania

Adele A. Konefal, a longtime resident of Bristol, Pennsylvania, was employed as a safety traffic manager at various transportation companies in the area. She was a member and past president of the Eastern States Women’s Traffic Club, where a scholarship was established in her name for students studying traffic safety. Mrs. Konefal passed away in 2008 at the age of 98. In 2010, Mrs. Konefal’s family established a scholarship for women to attend the annual Transportation Engineering and Safety Conference at Penn State.
